trumpetcam
I heard similar concerning their entire design team. Would be surprised to see brass staff get canned as that seemed to have been the one bright spot over the course of the season. You can't reinvent a group in two years, especially with bad visual design holding the musical performance back. hammondbrass
if you are referring to 'butthurt"..get over it dude...it is used all the time with the younger generation...haha There are no sexual connotations. Unless maybe you're into corporal punishment. "The term butthurt originates from spanking[1], the act of striking the buttocks of another person, which is often seen as a method of punishing a child. Though some cultures view this as an acceptable form of discipline, it can be interpreted as abusive corporal punishment. Online, one of the earliest archived mentions of butthurt appeared in a 1998 comment[8] posted on the website of Swiss surrealist painter H. R. Giger.[9]" http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/butthurt
FanLib
I am under the impression that Mark Sylvester left the Colts mid season. No idea why.

flammaster
Rumor last night that Cavies' program coordinator will not return next year. I also heard the same of their "brass staff," but I don't know if that meant arranger (perhaps not surprising) or teaching staff (which would be very surprising). Really? wow. I have to say their last two shows are my favorites! The most amazing encore I have ever seen was the Cavies earlier this year. INCREDIBLE performance! contracurt
Whomever has been coming up with show concepts/themes for Pacific Crest the last couple of years needs to be replaced as far as I am concerned. 2012 & 2013 were the best 2 years for them. I thought at the time the way they were scoring they would have been at 13th or maybe the top 12 by now. Instead they are sitting at their lowest placement since 2006. Their current brass and guard staff is awesome and is able to take them to the top 12 as far as I am concerned. Just got to do something about their show themes. Looking forward to see what Pacific Crest does next year! Edited August 9, 2015 by contracurt
kdaddy
Really? wow. I have to say their last two shows are my favorites! The most amazing encore I have ever seen was the Cavies earlier this year. INCREDIBLE performance! More surprising to me is that the program coordinator was named to the DCI hall of fame this year. Would be unfortunate timing, if true (though I have friend's who think it's overdue). True or no, it wouldn't be surprising to see changes made after a ninth place finish, despite the competition and late-season health issues with the corps.
