chadwick
My number one favorite show this year - Crown After that my next four would be (in no particular order): The Academy SCV Mandarins Bluecoats Honorable Mention: Blue Stars, Cascades, Colts Just didn't do it for me (common theme, singing - but it wasn't just that): Boston Crusaders Crossmen Troopers
drumcorpsfever
Based on the crowd at Indy: 1. Crown 2. Bluecoats 3. Cadets 4. Madison 5. Blue Stars Personally, I would add Boston to the mix too. From a show I wasn't sure would even make finals at the beginning of the year, BAC really finished their show strong. Fred Windish
Agree about Boston, drumcorpsfever. That show was a monster by the end of season. There was an energy there that said " We've worked our butts off with this, and here's what we have so far." A couple more weeks to the season and I would not have been surprised if Crusaders moved up a place, or two. By the way, only seeing them on TV, the banners looked great! They gave the impression the entire field was in play, and in Boston's hands. I'd love to see a return to a time long, long ago when Boston was nailing every competition. It was mid-late 60s, I think. They ran off something like 51 straight victories. Maybe someone can fill in some more details of that special time.
