Phantom Regiment 2016

Recommended Posts

It would be great if DCP wasn't about the "in" crowd playing games.

These are either Phantom's uniforms for the season or they are not.

So much for DCP being inclusive.

What.

There's no "in" crowd.

We observe and speculate. That's what we do.

Well, what uni will the Regiment wear tonight for Bowling night?

Milwaukee Silks, Yamaha Blacks (best bowling squad in DCI several seasons running) or Cheboygan Casuals???

Whatever Stan Miller chooses, they're hoping it will bowl us over. :augen51:

Wow I just noticed the new drums. They have a striking resemblance to SCV's...

I have a safe space at the house you're welcome to use if you feel the need. I don't want you to feel threatened or marginalized

Drum majors don't swing their arms when marching.

When not conducting, etc., arms are to the side with hands closed (like holding a rope, with thumb resting on index finger) and thumbs aligned with the pant leg seam, or where the seams should be, and never swinging.

Its merely a Drum Corps deciding the preference they want regarding what the DM does with his or her arms when marching. Some Drum Corps ( our roots ) have the DM use " their arms " with a mace. Some Junior and Senior Corps prefer their DM's swinging their empty arms in front when marching. Those that do, have different arm motions in that swing for the arms. Again, just a preference thing. The fact that the Phantom Regiment has adopted their style for the arms when not conducting is as similarly unique to them as to how the DM introduces the ready baton to the pre conduct phase. Corps likewise have different prefernces for this as well when the conducting baton is utilized rather than just the hand, arms utilization in conducting. ( I love the choices Phantom utilizes with their DM, by the way... and thats my preference on this, too. )

Tell that to Pete Emmons.
