xandandl
This thread topic has been appearing about once a month under slightly different titles. (Is it an advertisement for Indy hotels or DCI tickets???) Back flip through the pages of DCP threads since August 2015 for World Class corps and you will see no less than 3 separate threads with numerous suggestions, opinions, and reviews. General consensus is that Indy is a convention city, prices room with that aim, not as bad as some bigger cities. DCI has hotel links on its tickets' page. Start saving and check the threads. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php/topic/163388-accommodation-indy-2016/ https://aws.passkey.com/g/51428890 http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php/topic/163040-hotel-crisis-in-indi-anyone-have-an-empty-floor/ http://www.indyhostel.us/ http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php/topic/163023-dci-indy-hotel-hangout-after-each-show;-which-hotel/ Edited November 2, 2015 by xandandl
George Dixon
The Westin is nice. The JW Marriott is where I stay. Just searched around Lucas Oil Stadium or the convention center and select in your own price range. If I can help more message me.
Tim K
I stay at the Quality Inn at Southport Crossing. I drive, so staying outside of downtown is not a problem. No, it's not five-star but I usually travel to finals on my own and meet up with people at Lucas Oil, so accommodations are not important as long as they are clean and within driving distance. There are quite a few parents and grandparents of kids who march who stay so hallway and breakfast conversations can be lively, and on the Sunday, the kids are often heading home with family members so you get to hear about their summer.

The regular Mariott across from the Convention Center is also a great spot.
oldsoprano
The last time I went to finals (2011), I made a reservation at a hotel on the outskirts of town that could be canceled, then in early June, I started low-ball bidding on Priceline for one of the big downtown convention hotels within walking distance of the stadium. Hit the Priceline jackpot on July 4, when the Marriott across from the convention center accepted my bid for Thursday through Sunday of finals week at $58 a night. Ghost
The last couple of years I've stayed at Hostels in Vegas and Prescott, AZ for softball tournaments. Later this month I've booked the Hostel in Phoenix. I get a single room with breakfast. Might look into this one in Indy. http://www.indyhostel.us/
BoyWonder1911
I didn't realize one could buy tickets so early...didn't think they went on sale until at least May.
