ftwdrummer
You might be right about that given the last few years. I remember back in the day when it mattered if we won or lost. And shempy the only corps who would kill to be in the 7-8th place position are those below them...and that's not many. More below than above...
kdaddy
Really? Look, *no one* marches Regiment for a score, or a championship. They've had 2. Unless you did? (guessing by your username you might be an alum?) Do I have criticisms of Regiment's show design some years? Sure. Is that limited to the years since 2008? Not at all. Am I pleased with the performance/caption quality that Regiment consistently brings? Yes. They "feel" like Regiment shows to me, and that's what matters to me. I'm with you up until the last sentence. I haven't really had a good "Regiment show feeling" since after the 2012 season, but I'm glad that you have.
noahsigs
Until these naysayers can argue with a cogent statement based on evidence and do it without being derogatory, I'll just ignore them. Funny how you call OTHER people naysayers when your profile pic is literally a horse. tsk tsk

zachariaswmb
Nope. Good try though. I find it hilarious that some of my critics are finally coming around to saying that a change in program coordinator needs to happen, but don't want to discuss or realize what's going on. It's like wanting a cheeseburger but forgetting about the slaughterhouse. You see what you want. Zach, you haven't been with the corps in 8 years. You'd be surprised at what's happened in your absence. Just because I haven't been there doesn't mean I haven't talked with staff an members. Just had a staff member crash at my apartment the other week, actually, and we had a long discussion about things that went on in the offseason. Out of curiosity, were you around in '08? No need to PM who you are if you don't want to, but I'm curious.
Phantombari1
Drum Corp is full of tired ole horses running the show. Only one that I can think of has continued to bring in new blood where needed and they always have a big and successful impact on the corp. I don't place crown in that category since they are relatively new and turnover has been minimal but still more than the corp I'm thinking of. This is part of the reason for their continued success. Not only do they have a very strong foundation in place but they are very wise when they need to plug in a new piece. All corps should emulate them. Top to Bottom strong with unity of vision. Unfortunately some corps seem to have more fear about change than others. They would rather fight change or the direction that successful drum corps are headed. Others I think lack the motivation to put out upper tier programs. Edited August 19, 2016 by Phantombari1
phd-student-TTU
How are they doing financially? Looks like it's working for BAC.

Did you march, volunteer or teach? I have a feeling you will not answer the questions. If you have been involved with them when was the last time? For historical perspective into your reasoning. Between you and phd, you have all the answers ( comrades me think) and yet you do nothing more than blather...yes, I said blather on an online forum. This "Oh, my source who shall remain nameless because they LOVE their thankless job @ Regiment and want to keep their job is disgusted by the upper management"crap doesn't fly anymore. You ever heard the expression "credibility is earned"? So far you've scored ZERO points on the credibility scale. I'll be more inclined to believe you when you publish your names and your sources names so I can see if those names show up next year on the board or design staff roster.
