You know as soon as that opening drum feature starts they mean business and that first brass hit just capitalizes on that, or at least what we heard of it...... Ballad is awesome, that ensemble sound is just SO good. Soloist is great! Still not sold on the props, they just don't do a ton with them outside of the big moments and just feel in the way. I get the maze/mind thing but still. Maybe that's just my personal preference. Part after the opener and before the ballad doesn't really do a ton for me musically. Interested in how GE holds up in the long run when they're not alone in terms of competing with corps in their bracket. But overall I can tell that ensemble sound is gonna blow me away live and the opener ballad are fantastic. So tight, balanced, and everything else good about drum corps brass. K, I gotta take off to go have some resemblance of a social life. Hope Cadets and Carolina Crown have great runs! What is this social life you speak of??

Terri Schehr
Very entertaining program. Trust me, folks. I saw them in Mich City and it's even better in person.
Poppycock
Xmen guard was nice. Props are void of color and very under utilized. Best guard so far.

[...] While I had assumed that, like most good dramatizations of real events (going back to Shakespeare and earlier), the film took some liberties with the facts, I hadn't actually done any reading on the subject. Now I've just checked just a few points. To wrap up this tangent: who checks the fact-checkers? It would be nice if some writers purporting to be setting the film straight didn't make mistakes of their own. For instance, one article titled, "How Accurate is The Founder", includes this critique: "And while the film suggests Kroc also gave the brothers the idea of the iconic 'golden arches,' Business Insider notes that the brothers had architect Stanley Clark Meston design them in 1952." No, the film doesn't suggest that at all. It shows Kroc in the McDonald brothers' office when he notices a picture of that design that they have hanging on the wall. Sheesh. George Dixon
Man Flo Marching certainly squeezes in all 12 commercials over and over between each corps. So little downtown
