Surf's prop with the stairs. It would be cool if they could rig it and suddenly have someone running up those steps. :)

Or better yet, make like they are gonna run up the steps, then wave it off in a "nah, already been done" kinda blowoff gesture.

I've always loved that plume trick. Ronald Reagan HS did it first in the 00's and a couple of HS bands have tried it since but this is the first time I've seen it done in a drum corps show.

Close cam spoiled this as they were on the soloist while the other soloist next to him did it. The white comes off like a sock and they stuff it in the gauntlet

Basically, the white plume is a paper towel roll with feathers glued to the outside of it. Pull that off, and underneath is the yellow plume.
