Kinetic Noise does qualify as part of DCI "HISTORY"...and the OP simply asked which show is your ONE.

Yes, but DCI's history is personal to each of us.  The OP's question was a personal one, which is highly-dependent of the experience of the poster.

"The One" for a poster with only 5 years of experience helps explain his/her universe of choices to pick from.

I get it.  You get it.  It's all good.  It's just band.

So are we now going with these definitions?
Show = Event Attended & Year   (San Antonio 2001)
Program = Corps Name & Year   (Santa Clara Vanguard 1999)

I almost can't decide between 1998 and 1999 SCV. 1998 was my first year marching, and SCV was the first corps I saw. That show inspired me, and still does today; I get chills listening to it even today. 1999 in Madison, watching SCV live, and the tie... that was my favorite show. So, they are both winners for me!

1998 SCV is THE most underrated show in history, IMO. What a beast and it is just awesome. Definitely in my top 10.

You could start to see what they were gonna do in for 2014 - 2015 in 2013 in the "City Life" portion in terms of the use of minimalistic but incredibly approachable music that was just a breath of fresh air.  I'm wondering if they didn't get a lot of praise for that part of the show and ran with it for 2014 and beyond.

And don't sell yourself so short on 2014.......the first time I saw your show my jaw was on the floor and not just because of the pitch bend.  It was just incredibly cool, sleak, simply and effectively packaged amazing drum corps.  It's easily in my top favorites as well.

DrumManTx:  You remind me, yet again, why you are among my favorite posters on DCP.     This piece from Bloo 2013 is incredible.     Bluecoats 2013 TLFA is related to each year thereafter.   It is Bluecoats!   The music in the clip, corps and music split, is as hard as anything you'll ever find accomplished on the field.  The execution on this is perfect but took many, many hours of rehearsal to get it this clean.  It's one of my favorite clips of all time.   By the way, '13 Bluecoats is one my personal all time favorites!

Thanks for posting!!!

Ok, so I know there has been threads like this before, and we can edit them into our profile.  I want ONE show.    What is your favorite show of all time?  I understand this is like picking a child, but I want to know.  It doesn't matter if youve marched it or not, what era, or what division.  Tell me your one favorite show.  Tell me ten things you enjoy about it.

For me it's the 1986 Blue Devils.  Not sure I can list the 10 reasons but here are some of them,

The overall flow of the show is perfect
Great source music
Great musical arrangements
Unbelievable soloists
Incredible curvilinear drill
Aggressive
Exciting
Drum solo

crowd favorite and judge favorite

It's a masterpiece in my eyes and I feel so thankful and lucky to have seen it at a local show almost exactly 31 years ago.  I remember it like it was yesterday and would love to know how many times I watched it from my VHS tape recoding from PBS (probably over a thousand times)

Bluecoats 2010 Metropolis: The Future is Now. This was the fist year I started watching DCI and I got hooked because of this show. Became a bluecoats fan ever since.

There really are two skools...

Some would say that there is one skool that was, (pre) electronics, voice overs, stage dancing/prancing, body gyrations, amped instruments; and something (post) all of that called a 'stool' not a skool.  Just sayin'.
