corps8294 Posted August 11, 2017 Share Posted August 11, 2017 (edited) Depending on what Phantom gets for a score, tonight; it looks like the Blue Stars and Crossmen will be sitting in 10th and 11th. I was hoping with the way things were going this past week that the Blue Stars might be able to maintain that 9th place finish from last year. Mandarins closed the gap - just too much to make up this late in the game. Mandarins will be remembered as one of the favorites for 2017. They've proven they can design a finals-worthy show. Now they'll need to close the performance gap. It's interesting because that's what Madison had to do this year to get back in. Even though Madison's design is better this year, it was the performance captions that kept them out of finals last year. Madison didn't leave anything to chance this year. They cleaned the heck of that show and are back in where they belong. Mandarins can take this same page from the Scouts' book be a contender for Saturday night next year.
