In the context of the Spaghetti Western, it just made so much more sense. Crown, though, is incredibly risk-averse when it comes to unhappy endings to their stories. Major Tom made it home, Hell gave way to Paradise, the son spared the killer... With the success of "Wicked Games" this year, maybe Crown will change their thought process about unhappy endings. They may have been given more freedom in show design.

Was the right size and frankly had good viewing angles from just about any seat to keep the "She Must Burn" illusion up. And by Finals they tossed a few more into the fire! Crown on the other hand deflated their buildup and the ending was a mess.
skevinp
That's why all the same people who demanded a "merciful" ending to Crown's show last year lobbied tirelessly to ensure Bridget Bishop would be spared in the end this year.

I don't think anyone lobbied for that second one...

Didn't you know there's a big difference between guns and death by burning alive?. FYI I enjoyed both endings.
