oldbandguy
Seeding for San Antonio is indeed based on scores from tonight in StL and last night in Denver. Then show order determined by drawings in groups of 3. I'd say SCV is certainly in top 3 with last nights score. 1

Could be wrong, my remberbering gets difficult with age. I'm right there with you. I thought the regionals set up the order for SA, but I could be wrong. I love Crossmen, and continue to hope they have that magical season where they land in medal contention, but they continue to struggle with that age old balance of youth vs difficulty. They arent unique in that regard, all of the corps in that perennial 9-14 group deal with many of the same basic challenges. Boston and Cavaliers have found a way to emerge from that group via different strategies. Both are now becoming destination corps for older, more experienced marchers. Eventually Crossmen are going to have to buckle up and put a big show on the field and hope the staff can coach them up by midseason. This. Exactly. It's not very challenging musically and visually compared with its peers. I love the show. It's entertaining, but to compete at a higher level you have to have the content there to do so. You keep making statements like this without elaborating. If this is about the Crossmen - blame their design staff for giving them a show that is beneath their peers in terms of musical and visual design, and content.

Texas has a lot of opportunities, and one day some caption head from a powerhouse might see that and be intrigued to join them and strengthen them in a big way and get recruitment moving to a different level. Not to say anything negative about the current staff and corps members, because I always love what they bring to to party in so many ways .
