exitmusic
Does anyone know the last time we lost a caption to either of the Crossmen or the Blue Stars?

Last year's Semi Finals. GE 1 (M. Anderson) to Blue Stars. Crossmen it's probably been 20 years at least. They may have in the 90s. Also possible the answer is "never". They came in 1st, Cadets came in 2nd. Only time that happened that season (though many captions went back and forth). I don't think they've given a caption to Crossmen in the modern era (which I typically define as the switch from G to Bb). I think we lost early on to Crossmen in 92 as well.

EXACTLY what I thought when I watched it. There should be players up and down the stair the entire show. It is underutilized in the ballad.
jordsterr
Crossmen beat Cadets in 91 at a mid season show. I was there, but I'm not sure if it was Ypsilanti or Nashville. Anyway, Crossmen did a great Pat Metheny show, and it was early enough that a young and dirty Cadets still didn't have it together. But they turned it around.
