What absolute fun this has been, N.E. Brigand.
Thank you, again, for extending our drum corps season a few more weeks!

Imagine you're sharing it with friends new to drum corps to introduce them to the best shows the past decade had to offer. How would you make it better?

I can't imagine that I would show them 3 Bluecoats shows and no Blue Devils shows. So I would do the same as Cappy:

Definitely remove Bloo '19 and add Felliniesque

For now, "Felliniesque" has the edge as the show (or one of the two shows) to be added.

As for which show to cut, every show has at least a couple votes -- even "Drum Corpse Bride", which had the most votes of any show at any placement.

Here's a question: if you personally had to leave out two of the these four corps --Blue Devils, Boston Crusaders, Carolina Crown, and/or Cavaliers-- from a list nominally identifying the best performances of the 2010s, which two would you pick?

Boston and Cavies.

Pretty easily, truth be told. Cavies haven't had a great show since 2010, and some of them have been quite bad (looking at you, 2012, 2015, and 2017). And Boston's best output over that timeframe (2018) doesn't come up to the standards of the other two.

Seconded. A list of the 00s without the Cavaliers is pure blasphemy but 2010 was the only great Cavaliers show. And there are a lot of other great 2nd place shows.

Yikes! I forgot to include Cadets in this group of corps who failed to win in the original poll.

So that means there are five corps that qualified for Finals every single year of the past decade who failed to win DCP participants' hearts at any placement level.

That's... something.

Boston and Cavies.

Boston hasn't really had any noteworthy shows this decade apart from Rise and Animal Farm imo.

And while I think Cavies have a much nicer resume than Boston this decade, I think Crown and BD are a step above those two corps this decade
