Keep hearing the death count as a pure number also, far more than any other statistic.  Do you also believe that “ignores the fact we have 330Mil compared to places with smaller populations”?

Just a few posts up, I specifically noted that the United Kingdom has a worse per capita COVID-19 death rate than the United States.

Speaking of the U.K., weren't Kidsgrove Scouts supposed to participate in DCI this summer?

that can be true BUT as to what I was responding to from Jim , it's quite obvious protesters are NOT following any guidelines. There's no defending the obvious and clearly seen.

Do not remember seeing that happen here, but perhaps I missed it amongst the endless negative obsessive posts about a minuscule segment of the population, that just seem to repeat the same thing over and over again without adding anything to this encouragement thread.

The entire country was in maximum "slow the spread" mode around that time.  Are you contending that social distancing is causing the death rate to rise?

I think it is just a coincidence.

How many states are in “catch up mode” in counting cases that were not counted before because authorities were not sure? PA did this about 10 days ago and we spiked a few hundred from days before. This went on for a few days.

Sorry I keep bringing up PA but live there. And commonwealth has nice website with state, county and zip code counts. For a number cruncher like me it’s a way to kill time checking

I thought social distancing was our greatest safety measure.  If so, then the last thing we should be doing is closing our outdoor areas, and confining people into less space.

Agreed with the caveat that popular outdoor spaces should be carefully monitored to make sure the crowds don't get too big -- and that social distancing needs to be carefully practiced in confined spaces at these areas, like restrooms.

Think Kidsgrove was supposed to do DCI. Was disappointed it wasn’t going to be DCA again.

Didnt UK try herd mentality or do I have that confused with someone else

Have any physicists examined why gravity seems to be so strong in that country?

And now I find myself singing "defenestration" to the tune of this song:

How is it that no corps has played anything by Carly Simon?

True I’m concerned people think if they are outside social distancing doesn’t need to be followed. Yes safer than enclosed places but not totally germ free

Again responding to the post Jim made. Unfortunately that small minuscule segment of the population gets the attention and sadly backed up by those who believe benefits themselves ( not talking about anyone here)
