Block off every other row and mark seats off where people are at arm’s length. I know of one school planning on doing that and it is a potential plan for houses of worship. The difficult thing to me would be how does a band socially distance itself during a show? What about football huddles and basketball games? I’m finding breath8mg through masks a challenge. What about student evens where more air is needed. Would wearing masks be safe? For drum corps social distancing during a performance, look no further than Boston, 1983. LOL. 1

After over a month since last full up have less than half a tank of gas in the Forester. Maybe Sheetz will deliver about 10 gallons and some cash.... Honestly, it'd still be cheaper than shutting off the oil rigs. 🙂 Once the pumps are off, apparently it's wicked expensive to turn them back on again. If anyone in the drum corps world has huge storage capabilities, you could drop $10 right now and fuel every single drum corps for next summer. Shoot... it might be cheaper for every drum corps to buy a tanker truck, fill it up, and then tour with the rest of the corps next summer! Crazy insurance costs though... eek... Pumps to get it out of the ground and refining it. Weird info I heard when gas demand was higher. Lot of our refineries need upgraded but the companies would lose too much money in a temporary shutdown. So keep refining in an inefficient way.....

There are anomalies like Patriots and Brown who perennially excel or suck, but the percentage of teams that change year to year in the playoffs has been dramatic. When fans believe their team can win any season, it creates a rabid environment. NFL viewing is through the roof and stadiums fill up even with high ticket prices. Fair competitiveness is what is driving their massive growth. How much change has their been in the Top 8 in the last 10 years of DCI? I find it almost poetic that the one typo in your post was in the name of the Browns. Those guys never catch a break. 😛

If a ten-year-old Open Class corps could do that, then even in these financially-straitened times, one of the top World Class corps, a fan favorite with fifty years' worth of alumni and supporters, ought to be able to raise $350,000 over a longer period of time. (Per that link, they've raised $150,000 of that so far.) If the word goes out widely enough.

But these initial numbers are promising.
