Not even sure how they could manage that. Mike if you follow varsitys history, they only partner to get in the door, then take over or push out of existence. and given their rules for cheer and what circuits you can and can't do, i'd expect in time exclusivity will be demanded in bands too. They manage exclusivity really well in cheer...if you're found to have participated in another circuits championships, you're disqualified from varsity events. their foot is in, and this is far cheaper than buying YEA would have been

Even a high school stadium lease T&C's requires the Lessee to pay the rent to Lessor in advance not less than five (5) business days before the event. If I had to bet I would put my money on Varsity. O'Neal's
This really has not received a great deal of play. Drum Corps International is seriously short cash, joining with Varsity is a no brainer. Varsity has pre existing org wrapped up around cheerleading. Access to locations, infrastructure and cash is relatively easy. Keep your eye on this DCI, BOA, WGI, local band circuits, the Future is now.

Well with Covid, financial issues (YEA) and (stupidity) issues within corps (Troopers) this might be the kick DCI needs to start “looking outside the box” for future survival. Can’t keep doing the same old, same old in a changing world and expect to survive. Good, bad, indifferent, whatever I’d worry about the survival at this point. The Indy thingy is a big nothing dog and pony show with delusions to salvage DCI. I can’t understand what they think they’re going to know in August that they don’t already know now. Varsity is definitely a no brainer! Do the deal now while you still have some leverage.

I know in TX, you can go to BOA all you want, but good luck on being taken seriously if you skip UIL. Mike
