I agree.  It has to be someone who doesn’t give two ##### if people like them or not. I’m not available, however.

This is essentially my life in a nutshell LOL. I remember one of my senior managers years ago giving me feedback on my coaching style towards members of our management team. She said "Although they trust you and would follow you into a burning building, I would describe your style as Direct, Specific and Punishing."

Good Techs are worth their weight in gold. They are the ones who make the vision clear and attainable. One that knows how to reach a member, develop and add to the growth of a member is worth even more IMO

This is something that the Blue Devils are top shelf at having, imho.

Yep. I’m not a people pleaser.  The world and especially drum corps, has enough of those.

Exactly. My job is to evaluate skill and maximize potential. That being said, there is a HUGE difference between "will" and "skill." People have to want to do things but skill can be taught. Adults need to know "why."

Low hanging fruit that didn’t look like the ‘brand’

I would say that's absolutely a fair statement. There was some BS on both sides of that &^#@%$ show.

I suppose it is somewhat situational, but if it is not addressed to point that the member is posting on social media about ether following season, then it wasn’t addressed.

Bad news ages poorly.

Well, to be fair anyone can post on social media for about anything they want.  I would say more like bad feelings and regret of someone not getting canned, but again this is from LAST YEAR.
