They care way more about specific results than the actual corps do. I don’t think BD won brass either, but that’s based on Flo, so it’s worth nil. Like with all of these performance categories, unless we were watching it from the judges’ vantage (not the stands and definitely NOT Flo, youtube, etc) claiming to know better is a little much. I used to be like that. I’ve wised up. BD wins, and BD wins by 1.5 because they do drum corps better than everyone else most years. Once you realize that it brings you a great sense of freedom. It’s wonderful. There are a few DCPR’s who are judges or have been. And there are quite a few who have years as instructors at the level of corps who performed. So yeah, there are a lot here who know a lot about what they are talking about. And there are a number of noisy people here who don’t have a clue. But when the second place corp performs so early, it puts the judges in a bad position and they have to make up numbers that are a bit outrageous to compensate.
