You are lucky!  I hear from my son from time to time and he's loving the experience thus far.  5 weeks to San Antonio, but who's counting.  🤣

So glad to hear he's having a good time! I've been out there just about any night they've had full ensemble rehearsal. It's been a ton of fun to watch.

Glad your boy is having a great time. Hope he and the Cadets have a great year!

Thanks, Chief!  I bet your boy is having a blast with Mandarins, too!  Counting down the days to experiencing Sinnerman in person.  😃

He is having great time. They should be working the ballad today. He said the first six minutes is on the field, and they are hauling butt. He said it's extremely fast paced. But then again it's Nina Simone music, so it makes sense.

Another Bruno Zuccala (the yoda of colorguard weapons) sighting at Cadets rehearsal today

Bruno is indeed a jedi master (and heck of a nice guy as well).    One of my favorite Bruno stories:

Was walking around Camp Randall Stadium before prelims in 98 and came across the Cavies weapon line rehearsing.  My daughter (who was 7 at the time) obviously in awe of what she was seeing stood about 10 yds away.  Bruno invites us over to sit on a curb literally next to where he was standing running things.  Amazing experience,

Big week for the Cadets at the Erie Sports Center.

Today, 80 kids from the local community YMCA will head to the sports center to spend the day with the Cadets and introduce them to drum corps.

On Wednesday, The Cadets head to Mercyhurst University here in Erie to host 275 students and 35 band directors from the local community for a clinic in the marching arts.

Lastly, this Saturday, The Cadets and Erie Sports Center host a community event to present their show to the Erie community.

Love seeing the community outreach here and education about music and the marching arts.

From their Insta story. Not sure what I was expecting but I thought the props would be much larger similar to revolving stages. No official reveal yet but interesting to see.
