Gonna come down to hundredths of a point on finals night. Sort of exciting but also sad for the corps that finishes fourth.

5-7 will come down to hundredths, 9-11 might come down to hundredths, and 12-13 might too. It's going to be an exciting week all around!

If that were true, you'd likely see their achievement/performance sub-caption above their content/rep. scores, which is a bad sign that you've maxed out your current product. However there was only one judge that had them upside down in Allentown, the others had content/rep. higher, or the two sub-captions were tied.

Usually the judges start making it very clear that you've gone as far as you can go with your vehicle by this point, if that's what they're feeling.

I agree. I don’t think any of the top 4 have gone as far as they can go. All have great shows this year. It’s going to be interesting to see Thursday if they all really are within 0.5 of each other. That would be wild.

I'm guessing it will be real tight Friday night.  Then interest in Saturday night will be off the charts.

Ok finals week….so who wins? Well…..

4 effect judges. Add the total numbers up, divide by 2 and there’s your effect number.
Then visual proficiency, visual analysis and color guard….and their total numbers up and divide by 2. There’s you visual number.
Then brass, 2 music analysis judges and percussion. Add the 2 MA scores together and divide by 2, then add brass and percussion to that number and divide by 2. There’s your music number.
So add the effect number, the visual number and the music number and there’s your subtotal.
Subtract any penalties( usually due to electronic issues or warming up in no no zones. Oh and baby powder)
The final number, aka total after all of the above math, with the highest score wins. Congratulations to the tabulator you’ll call the show!!

Again, it's a combined caption. As others have pointed out, the battery book is more difficult, yet they aren't getting rewarded for it. Why do you think that is? You can't plan to win drums when 50% of your ensemble isn't demonstrating the necessary skills to be competitive. I don't have to convince you, anyone can compare videos to see exactly what's happening.

Some on DCP in 19 said the Crusaders had a difficult book but didn't get the higher scores since the achievement caption was lower.

It is quite conceivable, given BD's history of pulling out all stops the last week, that BD will prevail, but spots 2-4 are quite unpredictable.

Since BD supposedly haven't had their final ending on the field yet, they are still undefeated. Some of the corps chasing them have already shown their ending or at least some of it, and still are behind.  BD might sit on a new ending until Saturday.
