lawdn Posted July 1, 2023 Share Posted July 1, 2023 (edited) Crown’s show is exciting and is going to highlight a lot of strengths for them. In contrast to what we have seen from other corps, theme is crystal clear. I have read/seen a LOT of Arthurian lierature and movies, and there is just so much material and so many takes to choose from - it is a lot for a 10’ show. But I am definitely ultra niche on that point. Lots of action and excitement and gorgeous music that Crown can polish as well or better than anyone. Ballad solos gorgeous but Tristan always seems hard to pull off in drum corps - looking forward to hearing it live in August. Crown has found great story through-lines and focus in the past - e=mc2, Inferno, Relentless, It Is. It will be glorious if they do it with this show.
