all shows are a work in progress, but that feels like a real work in progress.  i have faith in the staff to get that whole 2nd half better-coordinated.  want to see the cavies back in top 6 so badly.  anything else feels weird.

Blue Stars missed an opportunity to work some Nina Simone into this show with Sugar in my Bowl.

DickSauce has forgotten more than I could ever hope to know about brass arranging. But I'm scratching my head here. Just so (too) much going on musically.

I hear you, they kept introducing musical snippets of shows that I love and then not giving them their due, just speeding on to the next thing. They might have been better served exploring fewer callbacks but doing them justice.

That said, tonight was night and day better than their last show. They are going to have a good season.

Hearing pieces of Four Corners, Frameworks, and Niagara Falls takes me back. That was definitely a golden era for show design. I remember seeing Frameworks in person and my mouth was on the floor. Cavies history is mighty.  I’d love to see them back to the top one day.

Time to make cocktails! Stars brought the Absinthe

I made a Sazerac. My shaker was in the dishwasher or I would have made a corpse reviver no 2. Both have an absinthe rinse in the glass
