Tough judge I appreciate that. On 8/12/2023 at 10:47 PM, ContraFart said: BAC had a tough book. I think the judge was right on tonight. I love that Crown was 3rd because they use so much space in their battery book. BD even was ok in 2nd because they had some tough riffs. I think their snare feature was the hardest in DCI this year. On 8/12/2023 at 10:59 PM, ContraFart said: BAC, I think had the hardest overall book. They had to go from triples to quads and sometimes they just lost the clarity. But to play that book with that drill was feat to behold. On 8/12/2023 at 11:00 PM, Jeffe77 said: I posted this, which shows the ups and downs of everyone 2nd-6th. Having listened to several Davila tapes I have a problem where she hyper focuses on one small thing and misses ALOT of big things. This is why I miss Audesmore and Prosperie because they are really quick at moving to the next chunk.

The consistency of position and scoring right up to Indy is, to me, head scratching. When there is a consistent level of play, as shown from show to show that has an inversion of sorts in the final show I question how that occurs. Cavies were very consistent through the season. Right to the end. Crown was, until the end. Boston also was, until the end. At least now I can fill some time looking back on the year and be pleased that I got to see one amazing drum corps year by all corps. Hope next year is as good.

Gretchen C
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but it looked to me like the lines moved pretty quickly for stadium entrance on Saturday. Glad this was not a problem this year.

Glad this was not a problem this year. All three days, it took me less than 90 seconds to get thru metal detector, and scan tickets. Didn't wait once in line to get in the stadium.

keystone3ply
Did anyone else return from Indy with the wonder gift of COVID? I'm seeing on social media that several folks returned positive & it was starting to spread in some of the corps at the end of the weekend. I know we're seeing cases in our local school system & community. Starting my 5th since testing positive. Stuff's gettin' old! 🤒 Edited August 20, 2023 by keystone3ply cx

Glad this was not a problem this year. I thought the lines to get in the stadium moved quickly and concession stand lines were much faster. There were also more concession stands open. As I said in a post on another thread, this makes the event more enjoyable.
