TexasPRfan
I think Regiment has a GREAT team in place and it just needs to marinate. Hang on to this team, PR. The turn around from 2019 is astonishing. And YOY improvement has been by leaps & bounds from 2021 to 2022 to 2023. The needed changes got made after 2022. I think it was hard for the design team to fathom just how much the talent leaped up in 2023, and in combination of that with changing marching techniques, the team under-estimated how far they could have pushed demand. That said, I loved 2023 and can't wait to see the next leap in 2024. Harvey

I’m really impressed how the 2023 edition of Regiment surprised a lot of folks. Exogenesis really spoke to their reinvention. They make this alum very proud.

I can't figure out how it would work....but it's a wonderful piece. It doesn't build to resolution quickly enough for an opener in my head. How about some Sibelius and Smetana and make it a national folk song show. Finlandia and Moldau would work nicely together. This and some Dvorak’s Violin Concerto, and that would be awesome. Oh that sure. But Eurocheese of folk music would be a whole 'other level of weirdness. Some corps could make that leap easily, it'd be too much for Phantom..heh

Nor can I see the visual designers going all in for this. Although if VK were around...
valjean
I never quite appreciated Turandot in its time but that was a great year for regiment. Medaled with a really classic, classy, and clean show. They made a big splash this past season. Maybe something refined could move them forward. 2
