TheDoctoress
Interesting! A couple questions come up for me: Playing while marching isn’t easy, neither is choreography, but is for sure a distinct skill. Did Troopers, Crown, and Cadets get appropriately credited for this difficulty? The crowd seemed to favor groups on the lower end of the scale, like Mandarins and Phantom. Is that the direction the activity as a whole is headed? There’s some variety within the finalists and their placements. Would we notice if they were all 20%? Would we like it? " Makes sense. I only wonder because it's always been a thing where the section with the most musical responsibility is the section with little to no movement. So yes, a Mello section may park and bark because they're showcasing, but if the rest of the hornline is moving, this isn't really "new."
KVG_DC
I'm...actually relieved this is a thread about the "marching while playing" debate. When I saw reddit my first thought was, "which corps was it this time to have SA incidents break into the open?" 2
