DPEmerald
No idea what year but I'm sure Tommy or one of the other midwest folks will know. I remember that move and based on the marching mallets maybe 78? Edited September 22, 2007 by DPEmerald

Lancerlady
Not sure what year, 84 maybe? I think that is Richard Schmuck but I'm not sure. Yes that is Richard Schmuck, He was our drum major in 82. Didn't he (as well as some other MB3) go up there in 83 too? I know my friend Mo did. dccorpsfan
And now for something completely different !!! The next photos are of corps you may have never heard of or are seldom on this thread. The first group are from the sixties. C-W Townsmen Carlstadt/Woodridge,NJ 1898 The legalization of the bass drum is going to ruin drum corps! :D New York 93rd drum corps, 1863 TRUE drum and bugle corps right there ^^ Wait, nevermind...I think that guy on the far end of the photo has a fife. I remember that move and based on the marching mallets maybe 78? Pretty sure it is 1979 - I remember the white contact paper added to the red drums, and I think they only had two keyboards in 78. 84BDsop
Not sure what year, 84 maybe? I think that is Richard Schmuck but I'm not sure. If that was a shot at finals, then it was 83...astroturf in 84, and here they're on grass. If the pic had Barbara Maroney in it, I could tell you with more assurance...her left "hand" was on the horn differently in each of those 2 years,
dccorpsfan
I wonder if guy on right is Hoppy's great great great Grandfather? "Hey, guys. Just 'cause I'm here doesn't mean it's not a corps!" "Just pick up the bloody bugle."
