cavies79
I think it is going to be up and down the rest of the summer. It will probably be one of the most competitive finals in a long time! But that is only good for Drum corp. Shows that everyone is working hard and the musicianship is improving all over the country. This can only be a good thing! Very true. You also see how musicianship has improved in band programs all over the country. For those who have seen Carmel High School, you know what I mean. Awesome program. There are many others just like Carmel. Congrats to all band directors, corps instructors, designers, etc. Great work!!! :) I just wish I was about 26 years youngers so I could march again. :(
Wadep66
Wow. I would not have believed in advance that this would happen. I hope this dispells some of the "slotting" theories, etc. I think it does show that "any corps can win any contest". This WILL make things interesting for the rest of the season. With the split captions we are seeing it does appear that the top 5 will flip-flop heavily at least in several captions and that it is unlikely any corps will sweep them all. I still don't think Crown will be a contender come finals week, but I'd love to see it. When is the last time that the Cavaliers placed 3rd in a small contest like this? Wow. Phantombari1
Correct me if I'm wrong but recent history has shown that after San Antonio, we'll start seeing seperation... Enjoying the moment only last as long as the next show. When you get beat the pendulum swings the other way!
mistofflies
All the Cadets Homers ( and Cavies and SCV... etc.) need to step off and let Bloo have it's day season. Tonight is monumental. The last active corps that Bluecoats has never beaten has been defeated. WOW!!!!! I just got home and saw this. TRAVIS, thanks for your service. Ken Dahl, I did not know you were blueoriginal until tonight. I cannot lie, I teared up a bit when I saw the scores, and laughed, and jumped around a bit. GO GET"EM BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *flame bait removed TS Do you think your opinion is influenced in the slightest bit by the fact that you're an alumni of the corps? Do you think that your opinion would perhaps be slightly different if you had marched in the Cavaliers, or Cadets? Are people not allowed to have a favorite corps and root for them, and be slightly upset when they get beat? Choose your words carefully, people are judging the character of your organization by what you say.
9092bluecoat
Congratulations to the fabulous Bluecoats from Canton, Ohio! We are so proud of you and glad to see your continued improvement. Now if your reading this kids, go spin/drum/play a bit more before lights out tonight and get a little better on your own. All my love Blue, DA
luvs me sum mello!
When is the last time that the Cavaliers placed 3rd in a small contest like this? The last time the Cavaliers placed 3rd was June 22nd, 2001. Just over six years ago. I'm still a bit skeptic. Coats just jumped from 5th in ranking to 2nd......in Ohio. This is going to be the best finals in a loooong time. Edited July 3, 2007 by luvs me sum mello!

Not only because it is winning material but also because it is crowd pleasing, jazzy and very entertaining. BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! luvs me sum mello!
How is it that a thread about celebrating a new page in Bluecoat history, brings out those who think this is a celebrate the fall of The Cavaliers thread? Why anyone would choose to go about their life celebrating, bitterly, defeat instead of triumph...is beyond me.

Dear Skeptic, How many of the judges were from Ohio or have any relation to the Bluecoats? Centerville is nowehere near Canton (4 hour drive), and is usually packed full of Cavalier fans. :)
