RickCogley
I'm hoping for something new, though I would imagine a lot of people are going "play fiddllleeerrrrrr!!" Looks like they did not have so many brass age-outs. I hope most of them come back. It will be great to hear SCV with even better brass. HappyMello823
Im interested to see what they do if theyre doing a throwback show with lots of Vanguard classics or usher in a completly new theme to mark the new period for SCV
84BDsop
I can't see them putting "Clowns" into the competitive program...the very small touch at the end of the 07 show was VERY nice, tho. Major anniversary shows are tricky....you want to honor the history of the org -- especially if it;s the 50th -- bit it's not entirely needed to pull off good program...84 Cadets, anyone? I read that they'd planned to in 2014 with a circus/sideshow theme (along with High Wire), but they couldn't secure the rights to something else they wanted to play. They ended up with Scheherazade Part Dos instead.
xandandl
When did vanguard switch to cavies style? Or have they always had that style? They haven't always had that style which I thought came with arrival of Pete Weber as the drill writer. That predated Fiedler, no?

That predated Fiedler, no? I'm pretty sure it's been there longer...at the very least, the marching style I watched last year looked more or less the same as the marching style they used in (easiest example off the top of my head, because it's the one where I noticed the marching style the most) 1992. I remember their reaction when Pete came and the style was different after Myron whom they marched under.
