I think people are seriously underestimating SCV. gonna slot them anywhere from 1-5 if im being honest.

I want you to be right here. But I know my fellow alum, their cruelty, and their stubbornness... this keeps so many of us quieter than we'd otherwise be. Of the 12 or so others I've spoken to, only a rare few have blown the whistle and only one has said anything publicly. The backlash was rough. I'm not saying SOA, Cadets or other corps don't have similar alum, but that our alum have a unique mix that has thus far concretized the veil of silence.

i understand. but the world has changed a lot in the last 6-7 years when it comes to people coming forward. especially in drum corps circles.

happened with TOB after 2007 too. stadium had some plusses, especially for warmup space, bu at the time severely laking in amenities...i mean like Allentowns bathrooms looked a lot better. but i havent been there since then. of the high schools i i am familar with down there, maybe Appo...and thats about it

It took me nearly twenty years, and others longer. Still others never come out. Nothing predicts the length of time it takes for victims to step forward, especially if we're talking about cases in which victims were legal adults but still unable to technically give consent within a glaring power differential. However, that's not the situation at hand. McKenzee is clearly more brave sooner in her life than many of us, but that still may not be enough to influence others. I'd love to be wrong.

I agree with you totally with 1-4 being a tier of its own. I was just basing it off his 1-5. But you are correct. And if we are being honest, until someone can step up and beat BD "CONSISTENTLY" they are in a tier of their own.

We went to the first show in Oswego, Illinois. They were rehearsing there and Jim said that he thought they’d be fourth. I’ve never let him forget it. In fact, I think I’ll bring it up again. Thanks for reminding me. 😂

No disrespect but I see top tier as 1-4 until someone makes the case on the field for 1-5. It could happen in 2024 but 2025 is more likely. That said, I see Mandarins and PR with best shots for 5th, SCV would b3 a completely unsurprising wildcard to take it, and I would love to see Cavies get the overall performance caption strength and show design to make a run at it but probably not this year.

Unfortunately all the cos players so far seem to be looking at Spartacus cosplays. I was thinking maybe a City of Lights, or an Exogenesis cosplay might be cool. I don't have a deep enough PR history to go back to some shows that may be have great cosplay ideas,

I wouldn’t hate it. When Cavies announced 007, I thought it’d be so stupid, but that show was cool as heck. Phantom playing famous superhero scores could be epic.

Mandarins. They have their s**t together, they have the resources, and they have the momentum for 5th this year.

Doesn’t it change every year based on how close corps are? I always thought of it as corps that could flip flop with each other, which could have 3-5 in each tier based on the season.

I always thought it was 1-4, 5-8, 9-12.

Heck even when I marched they had a notebook of them that we traveled with.
