I'm still not convinced that narration should have any role in drum corps, but since it's here it's just like any other show device: it can be used well (rare) or used poorly. BD's use of narration in 2005 was a bit cheesy and Cadets in 2007 was really annoying and probably cost them a championship. On the other hand, the Bluecoats used narration very effectively in their 2007 show.

Is there any evidence that the 2007 championships location put any additional financial burdens on corps? Doing it on a rotating basis makes sense. Cadets, PR and Cavaliers (and Star in the old days) make occassional West Coast trips so what differnce does it make whether they come out West in June, July or Augsut?

That never happened. In 96 Phantom was in 3rd place going into finals and in 2008 they were in 2nd place.

If you read the eBay posting it was pretty clear that it wasn't a corps member who was selling it. It was listed as a "fantastic Marching band jacket" and the seller didn't have any idea what the patches or logos meant.

BD won 4 titles in the 90s, Cavies won 2 and you're arguing that the Devils changed their approach because of the Cavies success? Not buying it.
