Has this ever happened?
i heard from someone replied to OldBones's topic in DCI Open Class Corps Discussions
yes, that sounds right...and from what DCI said, it wasn't a favored nations problem with KK, it was a video rights issue (two seperate issues) -

open class corps director

they better book a flight now for the DCI person that will come out to evaulate them...i hear a midwest corps will have to pay $500 for it (which basically is to fly the person out) -

maybe not in name, but more so than some "World Class" corps I've been around -

i heard they are going for 110 members for next year...that's larger than some World Class corps...good luck, hope they can get there. still wondering why DCI made them and Chops move souvie tents to make room for Madison...oh wait, madison is World Class, oh well, solved my own puzzle -
Pacific Crest

Pacific Crest has been to finals every year since 2003 and will continue this year (and presumably every year) as well. -
Can Pioneer pass Madison this year?

as long as Roman is in charge, Pioneer will go nowhere. his way of running the corps is shotty at best. it's not that he doesn't mean well, it's just that he doesn't understand. so to answer the question of this post...no. no matter what happens with Madison, Pioneer will not pass them. -

not sure bout that, but i heard from someone that DCI will never be back in Camp Randall because they jacked up the price to use the stadium without telling DCI. now they may have meant never back for finals (in chance years when Lucas Oil is previously booked), but they may have meant ever. -
2008: Worst Drum Corps Year Ever?
i heard from someone replied to ctrain08's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
i'm with you on this, but it's not for the sake of choreography, usually it is to give the horn players a little time to rest their chops so they can blow you down with their closer. i would try to find a better way to do this but at least i understand. -

assuming you are refering to last night in Madison...i don't know about the Troopers souvies, but i heard a couple of corps had to move their souvie booths to the Kohls Center to fit the Scouts down center next to the DCI booth. not sure what caused all the movement, but maybe it was DCI's way of making it up to the Scouts for not putting them on last at their own home show. just saying what i heard from someone -
interesting how it is worded now...when i looked into this great opportunity to see how a drum corps was run a few years ago all it said was: i was told by the contact person basically the position was you drive the staff vehicle each night, at least now they explain you are a gopher and lackey.

Bloomington, we have a problem
i heard from someone replied to mingusmonk's topic in DCI World Class Corps Discussions
that's what the DCI article says...so it's not just an endzone problem, it goes all the way to about the 40...i wonder if the RCA dome is available? (although the parking is terrible now since the old lot now houses most of a new stadium) -
best all-female tuba line in ALL of DCI last year...Capital Sound. there is no way anyone can argue this!!!!

Are the Vanguard Cadets THAT unpopular?

people have been hyping on VK for a while...West Coast Open Class...which is kinda surprising. They had one successful year, a decent showing in finals, but i'm still not sure why they are such a lock for finals on so many predictions. there are other groups that are being "looked over" that didn't go to finals last year, and it just surprises me that VK immediately gets the love of the old VK. more power to them, i just find this curious. -
looks to me like those prices listed are for each piece....i really doubt they're selling 10 baritones for a total of $1000...though if they are, i'll take the whole lot off of your hands
