Scout
I'll have to second 1992 Cavaliers. Not that the show isn't good . . .Gavorkna Fanfare is a great opener. . . .but the show really doesn't ever lock in for me, even after all these years. It's performed well, but it seems so disjointed in the way it's put together that I really though that Cadets of Bergen County "To Tame The Perilous Skies" would end up winning. I'm thirding Cavies 1992 (sorry Cavies). I just couldn't get into it. Also Blue Devils 1996.
biffwah
i know not everyone appreciates or likes the winning show of a given year. list the year and show title (if there was one) and corps who performed it for the show you didnt like i can start it off by saying the past 3 years 07 BD winged victory 06 Cavs machine 05 Cadets zone The Zone!! jjeffeory
BD 1994. The beginning of cut-and-paste music. BD 1999 There's more but I've gotta go!
MikeN
I so disagree with '94 BD being cut and paste. I've got the "My Spanish Heart" album, and their show is a *very* faithful arrangement of the Corea tunes. There's no hack/slash arranging in there - it's all very close to the original. ShortAndFast
It's not a knock on the corps - I usually think the judges call the winner correctly - but there are definitely some championship shows that I'm probably not ever going to watch on DVD. Cavies 92 & 01 and BD 07 are three that come to mind.
07-Socks
2003 - Blue Devils. Just didn't do anything for me, as opposed to Phantom that year.
BCS513
I thought Machine was a pretty cool show, but I don't like the fact that I never feel a true melody. Its just a bunch of dissonance. Not all the time obviously, but thats the way it felt. My least favorite champ show that I have watched, 2003 Blue Devils. Like others say, I could never get into it. megadrive
92 Cavies and 98 Cadets like many others 96 BD-never really got into it for whatever reason 01 Cavies-music was really, really dull to me 06 Cavies- the music seems so disjointed and awkward that I can never get into it. The visual is always cool though. 07 BD- first couple minutes- awesome. after that-very meh Edited August 1, 2008 by megadrive
