Who will win

Recommended Posts

As I said earlier in this post, the results at Lewisburg have made the pending result at Jamestown much less compelling. Unless of course MBI manages to open a 5 point spread on Empire....

one just never knows.

some day, your crowing may come back to haunt you.

I don't say this as a fan or hater of any specific corps. I say it as a realist

I never saw last year's before Bridgeport Part Dos so I can't say I saw the classy version. And I've thought the same thing about this show. I was thinking if they painted the Statue of Liberty back to green like she should be and stuck a witches hat on her.....:thumbup::tongue:

You're kind of funny... you give me all kinds of praise when I defend the identity of corps like reading or hurcs for doing what they do and being unique, but when someone takes shots at empire for their style, you just cant help yourself. Seems the people that demand respect the most dont know how to give it...

As I said in the post that you find particularly offensive, I have NOT seen the 2010 productions and was offering my comments based on the shows I witnessed over the last several years and the limited clips of the Empire Oz production. And BTW. isn't calling a fellow poster an "unqualified d-bag" against the TOS?

Well if you haven't seen any shows this year, then your comments are at best unsupported (making you currently unqualified). The Bucs are great again obviously ... but you'd be surprised, Empire's show is ... trying to find the right word... muscular.

Their guard carries the story line ... and the brass and drum impacts are very grown up... and well, muscular.

Thank you! Our guard is working so hard this year and myself and many others think they are fantastic. They definitely make this program what it is!

No I actually said that out loud on Saturday night. It has nothing to do with defending anyone. That's the visual that went thru my head at the end of your show.

And I'm sorry but if the mental image of a larger than life green wicked witch rolling across the field with a broom in her hand instead of the torch doesn't bring a giggle I don't know what will.

Actually, it doesnt, but I'm not that familiar with last years show, other than seeing the finals vid once. Did the statue of liberty get carried away by the wind or something one night?

Ok fine it gave me a giggle. To each their own.

PS It wasn't meant as a put down. If I wanted to put your's or any corps down I could. I personally thought it would be a funny sight.

I prefer this thread for Jamestown. The T-birds are looking forward to this show. It's going to be a great match-up and also to see corps from other lands (well, from down South anyway). Western New York Alumni performs in exhibition as well for the first time in DCA.
