HiddenMonster
If I really had to guess? Both in fairly equal amounts. I feel like it was more of the story of Phantom coming out of nowhere and winning by .025. Both great shows and a great year overall, but I think today's BD hatefest is more geared to the type of shows they do. But this is Murfreesboro 2013 not 2008 so maybe not the place to discuss lol. DrumcorpsmademeaTuba
What? Please direct me to where I said "it is impossible to dislike a Phantom Regiment show"...or even implied it. My response was to the statement: "A lot of people didn't like when your lovely Phantom Regiment won in 2008." One year. 2008. And objectively speaking, that crowd was very, very much into it. I'm just being a quiet reminder that the minority against Phantom is decidedly not very loud.
BLOODEVILS
Crown 2nd in Brass content??? Hard to tune those BD chords!
Notrevo
So the corps that should have been third or fourth ended up more and a point ahead tonight. DCI needs to do some introspection.
oldbandguy
I love all these "order of performance" comments. Sure didn't seem to hear them when BD went on FIRST a couple of TOC shows ago.

trumpetcam
Crown 2nd in Brass content??? I guess the judges finally noticed that beyond amazing technique, playing in Bb and F most of the show allows other groups who have much more keys and tonalities, and varying styles, to gain ground. Remember, sound is only PART of the equation... "Seduced by the sound" is a no-no for judges.. Only for us fans..
jkingqm
My desk represents support. This cookie represents strife. The rug represents unity. The rug really does tie everything together.
HiddenMonster
Hard to tune those BD chords! Definitely harder than Bb all day! Edited July 27, 2013 by HiddenMonster
NeutralNovice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZe9_LWlOtM For the record, BD's show is growing on me... it just doesn't hold a candle to what I feel about SCV and Crown.
