The cadets only scored .1 higher in percussion than crown. 14.9 to 15.0

My thoughts:

1. Both corps have that WOW factor, Cadets with power, control and emotion and Crown with technical demand and proficiency.

2. We know what happens in June means little compared to what happens in August.

3. I like Cadets 2014 more than Cadets 2013 and Crown 2013 more than 2014

I tip my hat to you, Jwillis35, as you nailed it that Cadets would top Crown, and wow, by more than the .9 tenths you predicted too.

The gap on the field was about 1 point - it just got swelled by the 5 judge panel. Cadets drums are insane for this early

Woah!!! Cadets 1st???????

You of so little faith, 2000Cadet ( haha!)

But congratulations to the Cadets tonite with the win over last year's DCI Champion Carolina Crown... and a convincing spread win to boot.

It isn't a sprint it is a marathon. Crown has no worries. Good show Cadets.

Makes for a pretty interesting season though. Hope to see a lot of unpredictability this season.

The Cadets came in first in all captions

But, considering last year, would you ever have believed that Crown would only be 0.1 behind Cadets in ....... PERCUSSION?

I'm impressed with Crown's drumline so far. It stands out better than the Cadets in terms of how it's arranged. I think Crown will compete much better in percussion this year. 4th place is my prediction come finals night.
