Bannedforlife
If any person has even a hint of doubt for the lovely instrument, play them this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKu1UG5Xo4k That is lovely, but far from worth excusing obnoxious bone players that my dad (professional trombone player) endearingly says are "like a bull in a China shop."

TRacer
Q: How do you make a trombonist's car more aerodynamic? A: Take off the magnetic pizza sign. Q: A squirrel and a trombonist are sharing a cab in New York-- what's the difference? A: The squirrel is heading to a gig. Q: What do you call a trombonist who wears a pager? Jason Harrison
LMAO! Good ones but the pizza sign really cracked me up. What the difference between a pizza and a drummer? The pizza can feed a family of four!
jwillis35
That link of the Illinois Graduate Trombone choir is awesome...exactly why I chose the trombone in the first place and did 2 performance degrees on the instrument.
oldbandguy
It's not really so much the trombone...more the people who play them
84BDsop
A good t-bone is a wonderful thing (Zoltan Kiss of Mnozil Brass comes to mind right away. Go to YouTube and put in Florentiner march - MNOZIL BRASS. His bit starts at 3:45, during "Hungarian Schnapsodie." (called so because it's his feature and he's from Budapest)) They're being used because they can be, and for no other reason. There's nothing SCV's doing with them, for example, that can't be done with a marching bari. Edited August 2, 2014 by 84BDsop
