DrumManTx Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 (edited) Concerning the color guard, looking at recaps last year they were pretty low early on, at early shows, and then caught fire after Atlanta. I think those Shapiro books are just extremely difficult and take some time to clean, and when they do the surge pretty far. Remember the same thing happening 2008 - 2010. DCI-86 Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Blue stars will have one of the hardest guard books in DCI. They are always a little rough at the start and surge in August. I just love that they do so much more than just spin flags and rifles. This year- the "simese twin" feature. Spinning hammers etc. And Michael's writing is so musical. My theory is that DCI has a lot of new judges and perhaps are they attempting to start out the scores a little lower to make the end scores on Finals night a little less than 99.65 or harder to acheive.
