Cadets 2015

Recommended Posts

I'd like to see the drum wrap match the platforms. (However, I recognize the Cadets' long tradition of both sparkle and fade finishes...)

Mike

I like your idea...but....

1. the turf green of the platforms would look even worse in the close-up against the gold cummerbund and maroon top.

2. it would be accused of trying to match BD's letters.

3. more often than not, Cadets drums have been some sort of wood-looking stain.

Apparently you haven't seen some of the other drums this year or previous years.

Um, apparently I have. My point is that the current finish looks (to me) like an attempt to match the maroon and gold palette, but is 'off' enough to really not work at all.

If by this year you are talking about lines like Crossmen, BD, etc ... those wraps either DO match the uni design (e.g. Crossmen) or are so different that there really isn't a 'clash' to my eyes (e.g. BD).

Apparently NOT. I don't see the issue in the first place. Cadets normally have drums that match the colors of their uniforms anyway. That they took a different color that doesn't match doesn't a terrible idea make.

Right! Or by coming out in Boston Crusaders uniforms. They were 10th last year.... :silly:

Cynicism DOES have its' virtues. As to kindly and witty sarcasm? First Place, hughesmr.

To be clear, I wasn't actually commenting on the quality of the show itself; just being a goof.

Thank God...two of us.
