xandandl
shocking! (I recognize only one Crown vet in the snare line, and he took last season off. Are there others, or are they all noobies to Crown?) Edited January 20, 2015 by xandandl

Phan89
shocking! (I recognize only one Crown vet in the snare line, and he took last season off. Are there others, or are they all noobies to Crown?) Mostly new people in the entire line, but significantly more talent than the past few seasons from what I understand. The center snare is the Cadets center snare from 2012 and 2013. But yeah, this video makes me really, really excited to hear the Crown percussion section this summer.
xandandl
yes, I recognized A.O., the Aungst tag-a-long from Dartmouth, although he has grown a few inches during the season he took off. I know Aungst's own son did not return to C3 snare line but is marching elsewhere this summer; perhaps keeps the parental-child relationship friendly as Tom has well earned the nick-name "Angst" for his "intensity" while teaching summer drum corps percussion. Young Aungst is a good person; probably hard to stand in Dad's shadow. There were some other fine people who marched last year's snare line there; maybe not the quickest hands but definitely quality people. Hope they are happy somewhere. Word on the street is that Aungst's son tried out at BD. Don't know if he made it.
xandandl
I debated with myself whether to mention the young man at all as DCP usually doesn't discuss the motivations of individual members except in awe or contest-changing situations (the horn player who fell in Whitewater, the dropped drum in Indy, the Crown member nearly getting run over at Finals.) Wherever and whatever the young man is, he has my respect and should have his privacy. I apologize for mentioning him in the first place. Crowncontramom
I don't post on here very often, and I always get excited when I hear the new year's show music. But let me just say that this year, not only will BABIES be thrown, but their SIBLINGS as well. Also, if you're sitting in the stands, you better hold onto your seat because the person sitting next to you might GRAB YOU AND THROW YOU, TOO!!!!
