Cappybara
Yes - the whole show had a Phantom Regiment vibe to it. At first I thought it was just the dark & classical nature of the music, but it is more than that. Even the visual staging and guard work is more Regiment-like. Huh I never picked up on that. Now that I think about it, especially the first half of the show is very phantom regiment.

KVG_DC
The inverted prism drill move is a nice touch. Not only does it pay homage to a previous show, it's visually on par with most artistic renditions of Dante's inferno as described in the poetry.
crownisking
FWIW: Crown was not late getting to the field Wednesday night. The pit was just several minutes early. This according to one of Crown's admins.

HornTeacher
Would love more chimes and bells from front ensemble. Aint a show about hell until you hear Hell's Bells in the preshow. I love this idea. Maybe the traditional "Dies Irae" melody on the chimes to open. Heck of a juxtaposition between the dark (nature of the melody) and the light (upper pitch of the chimes) right from the start. Besides...it also would introduce the idea of "Who knows for whom the bell tolls? It tolls for thee..."... (And by "traditional", I mean the medieval gregorian idea...not related to the Mozart Requiem.) GREAT grab, c.l. EDIT: Just realized....maybe they could save it...might be one of those final, finals-week additional touches for an extra couple of tenths. Sort of like the disappearing Phantom from SCV '89.
