Tad_MMA
The biggest jump I'd like to see is Blue Stars winning Best Color Guard at Finals. BD owns that caption (7 in a row...8 out of 9!!!) --- only Crown has come close, finishing 0.1 behind in 2013. I don't know Michael Shapiro, but I loved his work with Crown while they were still "making it." Anyway, the 9th place BS finished 4th in Guard. A pretty good achievement for a corps not really known for this. Yes, the 1987 10th place Spirit won Guard, but they were already established. Tobias
Crown, Madison and Troopers move up 2 spots. That's actually a pretty large jump considering other groups must fall.
HeWhoWaits
That guy attending his first drum corps show ever, sitting in the front row of a local high school stadium who looks down just before Scouts turn and blast during their closer.
Mello Dude
Pioneer will make the biggest jump this year.
DrumManTx
Pioneer will make the biggest jump this year. This I can see. This off season they've made lots of interesting changes, wouldn't surprise me if they went up some. I could see the Cascades doing this as well. I'm betting on a lot more movement outside of finals. Lots of close corps last year.
perc2100
"Biggest jump" last year would've been Crown by a lot, though maybe that ending of Bluecoat's was close. Oh. PLACEMENT. My bad...
perc2100
We keep hearing that every year, but I'm hesitant to jump on that wagon until I actually see what they bring to the table. I bought into the hype last spring with what should have been a can't-miss show in Don Ellis, and got burned. Hopefully this year really is a step up. I'm with you; Madison has seemingly plateaued after jumping back into Finals. They've put out some good shows, but it is HARD to make that jump up above them with the super quality corps in the tiers ahead of them!
