kbbandman
Was the low brass having tuning issues? For PC, yes - a lot.

brassboy
I'm not sure what to think. PC was so good at Stanford but it seems like every corps I have seen so far doesn't sound too good on brass. This has to be the mix and the stadium. I have yet to hook up my super vintage system yet and am just using the iMac speakers but dang I hate indoor shows. It's the typical challenge of tuning a brassline for an indoor stadium. The temp outside is drastically different than the temp inside. Generally corps have done a great job anticipating the change but so far it seems like every corps has had issues. It'll be interesting to see if that continues to be an issue during the next block.EDIT: Oops somehow I quoted the wrong post. I was trying to respond to the post about tuning issues. year1buick
Going back to watch Louisiana Stars again. They sounded great live. One of my favorites in the first grouping.

There may have been some problems with the tuning, but some of it has to be attributed to the audio I think. They sounded much better on the periscope feed from last night. year1buick
they were good... and first out of the gate!! I know. How long have they been competing? (I'd never heard of them.) If they keep this up they'll be making a name for themselves I think.

IllianaLancerContra
What happened to Pioneer? They said they had transport issues. I hope the buses weren't involved in an accident! Discussion on the historical page where in 1973 Anaheim got a 13 point penalty for being late to US Open prelims due to being stuck in traffic due to an accident, almost did not make finals, and went on to successfully defend their title. I wonder if Pio will get a penalty tonight? After all, they could have left their housing earlier.
