Cappybara
The problem with BD (imo) is that their trumpets stick out wayyy too much. I've never heard them live though. I just love how Bluecoats have the low brass power to match their high brass. I guess Bluecoats have the best balance if you want to go by the high school definition of balance...
wvu80
Bluecoats brass has some timing issues, in particular in the early part of the show. Tubas in particular when they were split. I am being super-picky, and I can hear everything through headphones because they are so detailed with stereo sound. If I were listening to speakers only I don't know if I would have said the same thing. Bloo's drums were completely together by the same standard. I love Cadets drums but if Bloo took the caption it would not surprise me.

Cadets98
Are my ears playing tricks on me, or are they doing some side-to-side stuff in there? This is the first time I've listened with ear buds and I swear I hear the tuba feature bouncing from side to side ... Yes it is side to side. Lots of that in this show. Mellophones do it. Low brass pan across the back behind the mellophones.
drumcorpsfever
Show theme aside, the music of Cavies is wonderful! Very underrated horn line.

They weren't perfect with the timing, and I could hear it over my headphones. Still, very cool!
