Ghost
I hope the windmills have been invited. They'll be there in case the AC goes down.
Ghost
By the way, the corps is staying at this location and housed in the community center. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indianapolis_World_Sports_Park
craiga
The corps has rented Lucas Oil Stadium to rehearse in today 4-10pm. Someone recently questioned why the BOD is so large and why they are so aggressive in growing the organization. It is for times like this. Is this a guarantee of anything? No, of course not. But the organization is doing everything it possibly can to help put the kids in a position to be successful. The kids are due to arrive at the stadium any moment.

Ghost
Must have had a mighty big bake sale to pay for that. whew. They may have received "a hometown (DCI) discount". With all the BOD members they have, they pretty well have just about all the important business/finance/insurance contacts covered in order to do something like this. The BD have used the Colts indoor practice field on occasion, so maybe these costs might be manageable.

I've always wondered a little bit about this...how all of it works etc... I've also wondered how places become allocated to different drum corps....that is for example....the corps that gets to say practice in A-town stadium the day of the regional...or in Atlanta...or in San Antonio....obviously all 22 WC corps would not have the same opportunity...Is it a lottery?...or is it whoever has the money to pay the respective host/sponsor or stadium owner etc... Boston's FB has a new picture of a pit player during their oil can practice wearing a Yamaha T shirt with another member behind her in one, and in the background more white T's. Maybe corps sponsors help with the rental fees.
