Tobias
Even amidst the concerns over props and theme, I have long felt this music would be fantastic and well accepted by fans. For all the critique of the show, there is NOTHING wrong with the music, although I am sure they will tweak it some at the end. And the brass and drums are first class, as always! It's little things that have people picking at the show this year (props, theme, maybe even the jazz running since that is not a Cadets norm), but the longer this visual team stays together with their music design team I believe we will eventually get more first-rate, incredible drum corps from the Cadets for many years to come. Or they can tweak, layer and clean this show.

Tobias
The show sucks. You said that early season 2000 too. That amazing closer was put in at the tail end of season and made the show. I'll gets read when I see it Friday live.

jjeffeory
I don't mean winning as in "actually won," but rather, "all things being equal, is well enough put together to potentially win." The corps hasn't had many of the latter really this millennium. I agreed with what you wrote before, but to be fair, the Cadets have had some home run designs this millennium, imho, but they've mainly been in the last decade. My opinion 2000-2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011. I actually didn't care for 2011 though, but I'm in the minority there. To me, the Cadets try to experiment every other year, or the year after they win. Frankly the 2012 show design was fine, but not what I would have chosen to do, but it worked. The rest of '13-'15 were not super great design, but the scored well, but seem like they were trying to appease the judges over having great designs.
xandandl
I agree they are making rapid progress. A few key changes and the show should zoom A minor, G, B flat, do tell.
skevinp
A minor, G, B flat, do tell. So many people have said #### on this thread I assumed the whole show was in E major.
xandandl
DCI has all the other corps marching in Norwood, Mass at 1 p.m. for July Fourth but Cadets listed at 5:30 p,m. That may make that parade longer than Bristol's who will see Cadets but not Crown. How will those Rhode Islanders survive???
