Sandonovan
Uh that's the risk of being so dependent on electronics dude But if they march and played REALLY well while it happened, they can keep the #1 spot. Just depends on how well they did it.
BlueStainGlass
I wish I could hear the hornline and all I hear is solo
kevingamin
No camera to wink at for the soloist, but man, he nails that note so hard! Crowd went nuts, of course.
shofmon88
I love when you hear horns but everyone is carrying at set... This section is beyond terrible to me, especially because they used to ACTUALLY PLAY that section, and it was GREAT. pudding
The judge has to give a score based on the performance he/she witnesses. If there's integral effects missing, regardless of fault, they have to point that out in their recap. As Dan Acheson used to tell us when I was in Glassmen, if you live by the sword, you die by the sword. By the way, they ain't dying. Ideally, the judge would not judge for "missing" effects, as he has no way of knowing that they were "supposed" to be there.

corpsband
I doubt it... I have said it a thousand times... oddities do not effect the scoring. Fall, aired out solo note, isolated drop, electronic failure... doesn't factor in to the adjudication. Judges look with wider eyes than that. performance captions this is largely true. not effect. kevingamin
Man, this trombone feature, one of the most difficult timing side to side features of the season.
