It's not their fault that there were technical difficulties.The judge has to give a score based on the performance he/she witnesses. If there's integral effects missing, regardless of fault, they have to point that out in their recap. Fall, aired out solo note, isolated drop, electronic failure... doesn't factor in to the adjudication.
