ComeHomeShane
I guess to be expected, but "Cadets-lite" was a reoccurring thought while listening to the standstill. I did enjoy the book however.

It will be a great year for competition, complete with lots of surprises. Strains of "Conquest " have made it into many BAC shows, but given this year's theme, it would not fit. However, my guess is that at East Coast Classic in August, "Conquest" in all its glory will be played along with "I'm Shipping up to Boston." I was happy to hear "Virtual Hornline" after a 2 year hiatus...and this year has been the best I've ever heard it...and I've listened to countless renditions of it...The Crusaders debuted a new encore piece as well...
emc2
Great time had by all last night at spring fling at the Boston teacher's union building. Both the Jr,sr cops did a great job and the show was enjoyed by all. The kids got a police escort from Everett to Boston last night. The tall ships are starting to come into Boston harbor as well. Should be a good time tonight at Everett stadium to view BAC. You can get info on their website (FB). All have a great father day this weekend.

"With a Little Help from My Friends" is a song by the Beatles, written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, from the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Joe Cocker's version of "With a Little Help from My Friends" was a radical re-arrangement of the original, in a slower, 6/8 meter, using different chords in the middle eight, and a lengthy instrumental introduction.
LabMaster
For all who attended the Spring Fling last night were treated to a BAC musical performance we hadn't seen the likes of in many years. Not only is the horn line good, real good & the arrangements stellar, but they are f'g LOUD! Holy crap loud! You know when you hear something so crazy good all you can do is smile and laugh to yourself? Finally loud after far too long. I truly am not hyping because that would mean I am exaggerating what I would be describing. This corps is ready to be fully in the mix. I know year after year we say similar and have high expectations, but this year the sound, the music and the talent (until now overlooked) is different, much much better, more mature, more confident. A big step up. They did a full program run in Castleton early in the week for their community show, and it was really good I've been told. There is a performance tonight (weather dependent and it was awful last night) where they will do a performance in kind of a show setting with other corps performing as well - Northstar & 7th Regiment. It should be a great dress rehearsal. They are to do a segmented run with breaks and explanations, then a full out performance. Everett Memorial Stadium in Everett, MA , tonight, starts at 7 and best of all it is free. Be there and see for yourselves.
