I'm really not entirely sure why you decided to bring this Boston's Brass staffer's( misspelled name and all) " pedigree" into this thread. But since you asked, I believe Gino Cipriani originally was on the staff of the Blue Devils for 9 years. From 1990 to 1999. Then he went to the Cadets from 2000-2001, Syracuse Brigadiers from 2001-2004, Magic of Orlando from 2002-2003, SCV in 2004, Cadets again in 2005-2016, Reading Buccaneers from 2006-2011, Cadets2 from 2012-2016. So I guess his initial " pedigree " is the Blue Devils..... followed up by several other Corps/ Marching Bands, etc. along his career path of doing great things for brass lines wherever he has taught.. But what this all has to do with his current work with the Boston Crusaders seems wholly irrelevant to anything, as near as I can tell. That said, I m sure the Boston Crusaders are pleased to have him on their educational staff for 2017 and hopefully they will have him on their educational staff for many more years to come. You have been tremendous this year and we all are thankful and proud. Eat em up Giants. She must burn. For history buffs here, Boston has a shot to finish with one of their highest scores in their DCI history.. or perhaps close to it if they keep working/ tweeking. Its a bit unfair to compare scores from different years of course, but its sort of fun too to see just what a terrific season Boston is having at the moment. Last nite Boston scored a 86.250 ( July 24th ). Boston's highest placement in the DCI years so far has been 2000, and 2002 where Boston finished 5th both seasons. On 7/27/2000 Boston scored a 83.90, and on 7/23/2002 Boston scored a 86.55. So Boston is certainly in line at the moment to be close to, or to exceed come Championships, their highest score in their DCI years ( since 1972 ). Boston's 5th place finish in 2000 was a Finals score of 92.350, and Boston's 2002 5th place finish was a Finals score of 92.400. ( Boston's highest score in DCI history was this 2002 Semi's score with a 92.450 ). Boston also finished 6th in 2003, and scored a 92.000 in the Semi's as another 92 or higher score. Bottom line however, I think even BAC marchers from 15 years ago or so would agree that this is Boston's best Drum Corps they have ever had in the DCI years... and they are doing it this year with a show that most audiences seem to really find compelling and one they really like. Pretty cool, if you ask me ! Edited July 25, 2017 by BRASSO
