GUARDLING
I guess it hasn't been formally announced, but Kristy Templin shared Sal's announcement saying that she can't wait to work with him. I would assume that Joe and most if not all of her staff will stay. Its not like they havent worked together
George Dixon
Today's moment of drum corps zen: Cadets in early July 1990 as a sloppy mess: https://youtu.be/MCeC0uEN5V4?t=48m4s Cadets spotlessly clean in August 1990 perform the same "Candide" and it's barely recognizable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vk7-lE5eneM And the most changed section of the show at finals - Fancy Free Ballet and the wrap up with the "S Pull" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AufYVSxF37o Boom! :) Edited September 1, 2016 by George Dixon

Tobias
I would imagine Marc Sylvester will become the drill writer for The Cadets for 2017. He came on mid season last summer to help the Cadets... he knows how to write... and he's part of the Cadets, going way back. But.. time will tell.I'm not sure GH fired Darryl. With Sal and Sully as consultants (perhaps for Sully), Darryl is certainly capable. 2016's huge design issues bled into everything so they may keep Darryl. As far as guard staff, GH did say a few weeks back that guard staff/program going into year 2 of building that caption so not thinking they're firing anyone but perhaps giving Sal some input on design along with Joe. I'm not sure of Darryl Pemberton's status with Cadets going forward either. Not much mention of him by GH, or others since the end of the season. it'll all come into focus, soon enough. Ghost
Here is a run through by the 1987 Garfield Cadets, a day or two after losing to Spirit of Atlanta by 2.1 points. What? No skimpy shorts/bathing suits? Lindap will be happy to read about the Canadian girls who marched.
xandandl
Here's another '87 footage as the corps did Good Morning America. Drum major is Doug Rutherford who eventually became director of Phantom Regiment (the black years I think). Guard captain is young April Gilligan. (Yes, I miss the guards she and Peggy Twiggs generated.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxhMXYEXG_8
